GuideRemoval Guide
Take covers off without cracking tabs or scratching wheels.
Clip-On Covers
- Grip the cover at the outer edge near a spoke opening.
- Pull straight out with steady, even force — or lever gently with a plastic trim tool wrapped in cloth. Never use a bare screwdriver against the wheel lip.
- Work around the circumference; the spring ring releases progressively.
Bolt-On Covers & Simulators
- Loosen retained lug nuts in a star pattern (these covers use the vehicle's lugs — see the Installation Guide).
- Support the cover as the last nut comes free; stainless simulators are heavier than they look.
While It's Off
WheelCovers.Com's seasonal care article recommends using removal moments to inspect for cracked tabs and corrosion, and to wash both wheel and cover before re-installing (full routine).
